It's the day after Thanksgiving, aka Black Friday. If you're looking for something to put you in a festive mood, you might enjoy looking at Christmas lights. The traffic "T" and up Center Avenue is a good place to start. With the new year nearing, Keep Brownwood Beautiful is looking for new people to become a part of our board of Directors.
Objectives: The Board of Directors sets policy, recommends specific programs, and actively participates in the implementation of the programs. The members work toward accomplishing the mission of the organization. Mission: To empower the citizens of Brownwood through education and participation to take responsibility for their community environment. Qualifications: Genuine interest in the mission of the organization and its stated focus of beautification and community improvement, litter prevention, and the minimization of the impact of solid waste. Responsibilities:
Meetings: Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 5:15, currently at the Brownwood Art Association’s “Art Center” located at 215 Fisk Ave, Brownwood. Enter through the side door. Commitment: Members serve a three-year term and can be re-appointed for one additional three-year term.
