Yes, we have fun doing it.  We need your help to clean up Brownwood's litter.

Seven main sources of litter

  • Household trash at the curbside
  • Dumpsters used by businesses
  • Loading docks
  • Construction and demolition sites
  • Uncovered trucks
  • Motorists
  • Pedestrians

How you can help

*Carry trash bag in vehicle and use it!
*Bag it.  All trash/garbage should be in a bag with the  top knotted prior to being put into trash can.
*Cover your load. Texas law requires that all loads in truck bed and trailers be covered so nothing can fly out.
*Keep loading docks clean and have a trash can at the dock.
*Use trash cans when you are out and about.
*Encourage people not to litter.  If you do see someone littering you can use the Don't Mess With Texas site to report the incident.

*Expect people to take care of their debris, which includes cigarette butts and used baby diapers.  Come on those are just gross.
*Make a commitment to 10-A-Day program.
